Over K135 million subsidies provided to 39,297 persons with disabilities from February 2021 to 13 September 2022

Subsidies worth K135.441 million have been provided to 39,297 persons with disabilities from February 2021 to 13 September 2022, said Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine at the event of grant giving to 650 persons with disabilities from Pobbathiri and Hlinethaya townships on 13 September.
In the event, a total of K19.5 million were provided to 650 persons with disabilities with K30,000 per one. Disability classification and registration project is firstly carried out in four pilot project areas such as Pobbathiri township of Nay Pyi Taw, Hlinethaya township of Yangon, Hpa-an township of Kayin State and Hopong township in Pa-O Self-Administered Zone of Shan State and continuously to cover all townships in the nationwide.—TWA/GNLM
