Myanmar’s consul-general U Min Kyaw Linn attended the ceremony of offering the Ghana milk alms food by the Myanmar community in Lampang city of Lampang province, Thailand, in the third week of January as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The offering ceremony was held by the Myanmar community and Lampang Rajabhat University, led by the Lampang administration. With the pagodas and temples in Myanmar that have been a part of Lampang province for a decade being rediscovered and preserved, the offering ceremony of Ghana milk alms food was held as per Myanmar traditional culture.
The Myanmar consul-general attended the Ghana milk alms food offering ceremony and the washing ceremony of Maha Muni replica Buddha Image. Afterwards, the Myanmar consul-general, together with the Lampang Province administrator and Lampang Rajabhat University rector, offered face washing, flowers, water, lighting and the Ghana milk alms food to Buddha Image and donated alms food and the structure of trust funds to Sayadaws.
In addition, the Myanmar consul-general met the Myanmar community in Lampang and clarified the issues being implemented regarding Myanmar nationals in the northern Thai provinces. — ASH/MKKS
