NSPNC holds peace talks with RCSS

The meeting between the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee and the Restoration Council of Shan State-RCSS in progress yesterday.

A peace talks meeting between the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC and a delegation of the Restoration Council of Shan State-RCSS was held yesterday morning at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw.
Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, Secretary of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee-NSPNC and members, and RCSS Secretary 1 Sao Sai Ngin, Central Executive Committee member Sao Saung Han and Central Steering Committee member Sao Sai Han attended the meeting.
During the meeting, both sides mutually discussed issues of the facts to be amended from the Constitution 2008, the implementation of the points agreed upon in the previous discussions, the holding of a peace conference, the peace and stability of the region, the annihilation of the narcotic drugs, development-related matters and humanitarian assistance. The first day of the meeting was adjourned and it will continue on 12 July. — MNA/TS
