New five-storey building at Monywa General Hospital (500-bed) commisioned into service in hailing Diamond Jubilee Independence Day

As a gestures of hailing the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo attended the opening ceremony of a new five-storey building at Monywa General Hospital (500-bed) in Sagaing Region together with Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, North-West Command Commander Brig-Gen Than Htike and relevant officials yesterday.
First, the Sagaing Region chief minister, the North-West Command commander, the deputy minister for Health and the deputy minister for Construction cut the ribbon to launch the ceremony and Union Minister General Mya Tun Oo unveiled the signboard of the new five-storey building.
The new five-storey building at Monywa General Hospital was constructed by the Building Special Task Force-10 of the Ministry of Construction spending K9,180.439 million and the construction was completed in the 2021-2022FY. It will provide the needy healthcare services to locals and support learning activities of the trainees of nursing/midwifery training schools in the region and x-ray/medical technician training conducted at the hospital. It is a modern building with two elevators, containing emergency and outpatient departments, a pathological department, an X-ray department, five operation theatres, intensive care unit and so on.
Then, the Union minister and party inspected the hospital compound and provided cash awards and foodstuffs. Then, the medical superintendent of the hospital expressed thanks.
They then attended the exhibition to promote agriculture and livestock products and a ceremony to provide seeds and inputs. During the visit, the Union minister and officials met relevant officials and provided the seeds, pesticides, Gypsum powder and fertilizers.
At noon, the officials went to the local military hospital in Monywa and comforted the military personnel, families, police and residents who are under treatment and provided nutritious food. — MNA
