Natogyi maintains playing long drums in tradition

The long drum in the Myanmar orchestra was essential in procession of accepting meals for members of the Sangha
in the past.
The Shwebo long drum music depicted the images of Myanmar tradition in farmlands.
In Natogyi Township, local people have been preserving the Myanmar tradition whenever they urge local wellwishers to offer meals to members of the Sangha during the rain retreat period by playing two long drums with three to seven feet in length each.
The local people hand down preservation of playing long drums to the new generations so as to show off rural culture.
