National Yachting Championship 2024 concludes

The awarding event for the National Yachting Championship 2024 in progress yesterday in Yangon.

Since the National Yachting Championship 2024, organized by the Myanmar Yachting Federation, has ended, the awarding ceremony was held yesterday at the Yangon Sailing Club at Inya Lake, Yangon.
Myanmar Yachting Federation President U Moe Myint first gave a welcome speech. The Myanmar Yachting Federation president and officials then presented prizes to the athletes who won the National Yachting Championship 2024.
The Championship was held at Inya Lake in Yangon and Ngwehsaung Beach in Ayeyawady Region from 16 March to 12 May.
A total of 24 athletes for Optimist Class, five for ILCA-4 event, another five for the ILCA-6 (Men) event and four for ILCA-6 (Women) event competed at Ngwehsaung Yacht Club & Resort, while 14 athletes for Sharpie A event, another 14 for Sharpie B event and further 14 for Sharpie C event totalling 42 plus extra 16 athletes for Rater event competed at Inya Lake in Yangon. The current National Yachting Championship 2024 Awarding Ceremony was a celebration event that coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Yangon Sailing Club. The competition is the most advanced competition organized by the Myanmar Yachting Federation during the year. — MNA/KZL
