Myanmar U-16 Team to hold new player selections

Football authorities will select new players for the formation of the Myanmar U-16 national football team on 4 and 5 March, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation.
The previous selection event to form the team was held on the second week of February, and a total of more than 100 players who played well in the FIFA-MFF U-15 league competition held last year and players from football academies were selected. Some players who could not participate in the selection due to school exams will be selected again in the second round of selection.
The Myanmar U-16 coaching staff will select 40 players after the first round of selection. After the second round of selection, the preliminary list for international competitions will be confirmed. Japanese national head coach Mitami will handle the youth team. Team Myanmar will compete in U-16 ASEAN Championship and U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers this year. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
