Myanmar national football team will play two FIFA International friendly matches against the Nepal team at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon on 8 and 11 September, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation.
According to FIFA, Myanmar has ranked 158th and team Nepal is ranked 176th. Myanmar beat Nepal 3-0 in an international match in 2019.
Team Myanmar will play a home and away match against Macao in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers (Asia Zone-First Stage) and the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers in October.
If they succeed in the first round of qualifying, Myanmar will play again in the second round in a group consisting of Japan, Syria and North Korea. Officials will continue to organize FIFA friendlies for the 2023 and 2024 qualifiers.
The Myanmar national team went to Dalian, China last June to compete in the FIFA international friendlies. They suffered a defeat to China 4-0 and beat the Macau team 2-0. — KZL
