Myanmar to ship 500 tonnes of fresh tamarind to Dubai monthly

A company from Dubai, the UAE will purchase 500 tonnes of Myanmar’s fresh tamarind every month, according to the Consumer Affairs Department under the Ministry of Commerce.
Hermab Group from Dubai proposed to buy 500 tonnes of fresh tamarind from Myanmar every month so the Consumer Affairs Department asked the potential companies and their contact numbers from the Yangon Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Bayintnaung).
Those interested companies which are willing to export fresh tamarind to Dubai are informed to submit the proposal reports in English and Myanmar, including information on the business.
Myanmar has been conveying tamarind to Thailand and Bangladesh beyond self-consumption.
The prices move in the range between K1,400 and 2,500 per viss, according to the Yangon Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Bayintnaung). — NN/EM
