The Myanmar U-16 boy’s football team will play a decisive semi-final match of the AFF U-16 Championship against the host team, Indonesia, at 7:30 pm Myanmar Standard Time today. A press conference for the semi-finals was held yesterday at The Rich Hotel in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Myanmar U-16 team head coach U Aung Zaw Myo, the Indonesian head coach, the Thai head coach, and the Vietnamese head coach attended the event.
Myanmar head coach U Aung Zaw Myo said, “First of all, I would like to congratulate all the semi-finalists. All are good teams. I wish you the best of luck. U Aung Zaw Myo replied to the media’s questions about the match against Indonesia.
“Indonesia is a good team in addition to being the host. I will try my best to prepare for the semi-final match. Even though my boys only have a day off after the group games, it doesn’t matter because all the players are well rested,” the Myanmar head coach said.
“It will be the first time for my players to play in front of a large audience. But the pressure will be on the host side,” the coach added.
In the semi-finals, if the game is tied at final whistle, the game will not go to extra time but will be decided by a penalty shoot-out. — GNLM
