The ASIA Durian Export and Durian Asia Summit 2024 will be held in Forest City, Johor Bahru of Malaysia, on 28-30 June in which Myanmar durian exporters are invited to participate, according to the Myanmar Fruit, Flower and Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association (MFVP).
The Myanmar durian exporters are projected to gain the following outcomes by participating in the event – exchanging techniques, access to the international market, an opportunity to learn information about requirements and rules and regulations of the target nations to export durians, a chance to get foreign direct investment (FDI), will be able to produce creative products based on durians, an opportunity to access the global trading platform and will have chance to learn advanced agricultural equipment.
The event organizers have allowed the MFVP to use a 36-square-metre booth free of charge for displaying and selling durians and value-added products of durians from Myanmar.
The MFVP members will also be granted a 50 per cent discount for an overnight stay at a four-star hotel for four persons and a visit to durian plantations FOC during the journey. However, the MFVP members will cost US$68 to participate in the summit for two days. — NN/ TMT
