The previous 76th Martyrs’ Day ceremony is in progress at the Secretariat in Yangon in 2023.

On the 77th Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day, people are urged to fly the Myanmar National Flag at half-mast and sound the siren.
The State Administration Council has informed all government offices and organizations of hoisting the Flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar at half-mast across the nation, and MRTV of sounding sirens at 10:37 am as a tribute to fallen leaders as a gesture of grief. At that time, vehicles on roads must pause and honk their horns.
People who will visit the Secretariat are not allowed to bring all kinds of pens, mobile phones, flags, handbags, cameras, lighters, wreaths, bouquets, flowers, vinyl, bottles, cans, sticks, glue pipes, and iron pipes. All the visitors must wear face masks, wash their hands and use hand sanitizer at designated places of the Secretariat. — TWA/KZL
