Myanmar intensifies efforts in advancing coconut value chain project

Myanmar has been implementing the “Potential Product (coconut) value chain” project under the ACEMES-ROK Fund, according to the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization.
Under the supervision of the Mekong Institute, Thailand, the Quarterly Progress Report meeting for projects running under the ACEMES–ROK Cooperation Fund was virtually held on 23 August.
Mr Madhurjya K Dutta, director of Mekong Institute’s Trade and Investment Facilitation Department- TIF gave an opening remark and the representatives from the respective countries elaborated on the performance of the work plans during the quarter. A team led by Naw Mutakapaw, director-general of that project discussed matters regarding the project completion of the “Potential Product (coconut) Value Chain” and further work plans and coordination to achieve the project goals.
More than 20 members of the Project Implementing Agency and officials from Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Viet Nam were present at the meeting. — TWA/EM
