Myanmar hosts Seminar on Conservation Management of Literary Collections for ASEAN

The Seminar on Conservation Management of Literary Collections for ASEAN in progress yesterday in Yangon.

Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture hosted the Seminar on Conservation Management of Literary Collections for ASEAN with ASEAN Cultural Fund 2024 in Yangon yesterday.
First, Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mra Zan said the theme of the seminar is “New Challenges and Different Methods for the Conservation of ASEAN Literary Heritage: Current Perspectives and the Best Findings”.
Conservation management of literary collections is the most critical factor for libraries. Libraries are the places where they distribute knowledge to people, and the ASEAN member countries possess precious literary heritage.
She added that sharing library-related experiences among ASEAN countries is the best way to develop libraries and highlighted the benefits brought by the seminar.
Then, representatives from ASEAN countries read out one paper respectively.
ASEAN representatives will visit the National Library, National Museum, National Archives of Myanmar and the Shwedagon Pagoda. — MNA/KTZH
