Myanmar Fire Brigade prepares for Global Challenge competition

U Thein Tun Oo, Director of the Myanmar Fire Brigade Headquarters, announced during the quality screening of competing fire brigade members on 26 September that they are undergoing training to participate in the international-level Global Challenge competition for firefighting and emergency rescue work.
The Myanmar Fire Brigade is preparing to represent the country in the Brave Heart Competition (individual) and Brave Heart Competition (team) events. Members are training as per the scoring rules for the fitness assessments.
A total of 41 fire brigade members from various regions and states took part in the competition. Those who meet the required standards will be selected to participate in the Global Challenge, as stated by the Director of the Myanmar Fire Brigade Headquarters.
The selection process aims not only to prepare the fire brigade for international-level competitions but also to enhance their capacity to utilize firefighting vehicles and equipment for assisting and rescuing the public in anticipation of potential natural disasters.
These efforts go beyond professionalism as they aim to represent the country in international-level Global Challenge competitions. — TWA/CT
