Team Myanmar failed to reach the Final of the Continental Futsal Championship 2023 after suffering a 1-5 loss to the Czech Republic in the semi-final played in Thailand yesterday.
The Czech team scored two goals in the first half and three goals in the second half. Hlaing Min Tun scored an equalizing goal for the Myanmar squad.
Mr Bunlert Charoen Wong, head coach of the Myanmar futsal team, revealed his words of confidence after the semi-final match against the Czech Republic.
“I am satisfied with the result of this match. The Czech team is a team with a higher world ranking than ours. My boys also played their best in this match. As soon as we come back, we will fix the mistakes and prepare the players to play according to the technique. We will also prepare the best to play in the Asian Cup,” the head coach stated.
Team Myanmar will battle for third place in the Continental Futsal Championship 2023 at 4 pm on 13 August, as stated by the Myanmar Football Federation. — KZL
