Myanmar face Vietnam in AFF U-19 Championship opener

As the AFF U-19 Championship group matches have come out, the Myanmar U-19 football team will play the opening match against team Vietnam.
The AFF U-19 Championship will be hosted by Indonesia on 18 and 29 July, and will be divided into three groups of four teams.
According to the fixtures, Group A sees Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Cambodia, and the Philippines and Group B consists of Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and Australia. Meanwhile, Thailand will play against Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei in the Group C. Team Myanmar will take on Vietnam on 18 July, Laos on 21 July and Australia on 24 July.
Since the Myanmar team is in the tough group, it is likely that they will have to play hard to qualify for the next round. U Aung Naing as the head coach is handling the Myanmar U-19 team.
The Myanmar squad has been training since the beginning of this year. In preparation for the AFF U-19 Championship, team Myanmar played tune-up matches in China from 26 May to 1 June while faced two losses: 0-2 in the first match and 1-3 in the second friendly match. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
