Myanmar donates 14.942M yen to Japan’s Red Cross for Ishikawa quake relief efforts

On 11 March, the Myanmar government made a monetary donation of 14.942 million yen (US$100,000) to the Japanese Red Cross Society for the rehabilitation of earthquake-hit Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, as reported by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
U Soe Han, Myanmar’s ambassador to Japan, presented the Myanmar government’s donation to Mr Atsushi Seike, Chairman of the Japanese Red Cross Society, who expressed gratitude and handed a letter of appreciation to the ambassador.
The earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.6, struck Ishikawa Prefecture on New Year’s Day. – ASH/NT
