Myanmar citizens in Viet Nam required to pay 2% of income tax

The Myanmar Embassy in Hanoi, Viet Nam, stated that Myanmar citizens must pay two per cent of their income as tax.
It is also described that the two per cent of income tax ranging from October 2023 to March 2024 will be collected starting from 5 January.
The income tax payment by Myanmar citizens residing in foreign countries contributes to education, health, transport, and other public services for the people of the home country. Furthermore, it is also mentioned that taxpayers can enjoy the benefit of income after tax when purchasing houses, land plots, apartments, and vehicles in the motherland by showing the receipts of income tax payments.
