The Myanmar-China Business Association was launched the residence of the Chinese Ambassador in Yangon yesterday.
The Chinese Ambassador, Mr. Hong Liang, first spoke on the active cooperation between the two countries on the Belt and Road Initiative and how it ties in to the development and prosperity for both sides.
He said the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor was started under this framework and has opened a wide range of opportunities for cooperation in business and trade. Next, U Min Min, Director-General of the Trade Department under the Ministry of Commerce, spoke of the bilateral trade situation between Myanmar and China.
Following that, UMFCCI Chairman U Zaw Min Win and Mr. Liu Ying, Chairman of the Myanmar-China Entrepreneur Association, delivered separate opening speeches.
Afterwards, Mr. Hong Liang, U Min Min and U Zaw Min Win, together with other officials, unveiled the signboard for the Myanmar-China Business Association and took a documentary photo together. —Min Thit (MNA)
