Myanmar brings in 66,000 tonnes of fertilizer in Nov

Myanmar imported 66,410 tonnes of fertilizer by sea and via land borders in November 2023 to increase productivity in agriculture, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
In November, Myanmar’s seaborne trade saw imports of 65,510 tonnes of fertilizer worth over US$29 million, while 900 tonnes of fertilizer (800 from Thailand and 100 from China) worth $0.183 million were imported through the border.
Myanmar imported 25,000 tonnes of fertilizer from Oman, 24,000 from China, 4,200 from Germany, 3,500 from Viet Nam, 2,000 from Russia, 1,500 each from Belarus and Laos, 1,200 from Uzbekistan, 1,000 each from Saudi Arabia and Thailand, 300 from Canada, 200 from Malaysia, 50 from India, 30 each from Indonesia and Mexico respectively in November. — TWA/KK
