Myanmar Ambassador invites investments at Bodhi Yatra event in India

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar Ambassador to India U Moe Kyaw Aung attended the Bodhi Yatra event, aimed at boosting Buddhist pilgrimage tourism, on 24 June in New Delhi, India. He invited investments in Myanmar’s tourism sector.
The event was organized by the Tourism Department of Uttar Pradesh State, attended by Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Honourable Union Minister for Tourism & Culture of the Government of India, the Honourable Minister for Tourism & Culture of Uttar Pradesh State, and over 150 representatives. These included ambassadors from Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Mongolia, as well as chargés d’affaires, diplomats from 28 countries, government officials, invitees, venerable monks and nuns, entrepreneurs, businessmen, and several distinguished guests. Ambassadors discussed ongoing collaborative efforts and future prospects.
U Moe Kyaw Aung also expressed interest in fostering cooperation to enhance Buddhist pilgrimage tourism between the two nations and invited potential investments in Myanmar’s tourism sector. — ASH/TMT
