A Myanmar traditional lethwei event titled ‘Lethwei in Japan 15 – Kizuna’ will be held on 22 February at the Edion Arena, Osaka City, Japan, according to a statement from the International Lethwei Federation of Japan.
The lethwei fight event, supervised by the Bellagio, International Lethwei Federation of Japan, and Myanmar Lethwei World Championship, will be the first for Osaka.
There will be five special lethwei bouts between Myanmar, Japanese, and Thai fighters starting 3 pm Japan Local Time, according to the ILFJ.
In the 62-kg fight, Byat Gha (Myanmar) will fight against Takashi Tono (Japan).
In the 65-kg fight, Naing Win Tun (Myanmar) will take on Joe Seishikai (Thailand). In the 60-kg fight, Saw Shwe Lay (Myanmar) will meet with Makoto (Japan). In the 63.5-kg fight, Tun Lin Aung (Myanmar) will face Higashi (Japan). In the 73-kg fight, Aut Chin Thway (Myanmar) will take on Nagashima (Japan). —Lynn Thit (Tgi)
