MR launches cargo vehicle and terminal room leasing

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Myanma Railways is set to lease out one vehicle line for 54 cargo vehicles and two terminal rooms for three years. The vehicle line is designated as nine lots, which will be available to businesses operating in the train transport sector.
Local private or company organizations can bid on a three-year rental licence, valid from 1 October 2024 to 30 December 2027, through a competitive bidding process.
The tender will be conducted at the office of the Economic Branch of Myanma Railways (Ywataw) on 30 August. The organizations who are interested in participating can compete for only up to 5 lots.
Tender rules and proposal forms for each lot can be purchased for K50,000 per set from the Deputy General Manager, Logistics Department, Myanma Railways, which is located at the intersection of Merchant Road and 51st Road, Botahtaung Township of Yangon. They are available for purchase during office hours from 16 to 26 August.
