MoPFI discusses CERP implementation

The Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry organized a coordination meeting on the progress in the implementation of COVID-19 Economic Relief Plan (CERP) yesterday.

During the meeting, Union Minister U Win Shein discussed the need to carry out the CERP processes released on 27 April 2020 and the progress of work plans in respective sectors of 7 goals, 10 strategies, 36 action plans and 78 actions of CERP.

He also instructed to review the ongoing processes and further work plans with analysis teams and to expand the works if necessary, by considering whether the plan meets the objectives.

He then discussed the transparent use of COVID-19 fund in accordance with the financial rules, audition, suspension of unnecessary action plans as the numbers of infection rate decline, adoption of quick ways for ongoing work plans, the addition of further action plans and projects to set up based on the CERP and current situation.

The Deputy Ministers and departmental heads presented the completions and further work plans of CERP.—MNA
