Mon State Chief Minister receives Indian Ambassador to Myanmar

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein received Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Abhay Thakur at the state government office yesterday morning.
During the meeting, they discussed supply of agriculture water through solar system in Mon State, exporting more areca nuts to India, supply of water to water-scarce wards and villages, solar power supply in remote villages, and cooperation in technologies for the state’s weaving industries.
They had a friendly and open exchange of views regarding the development activities that will be carried out with the help of India, including technology and assistance for industries in the state and more opportunities for the development of the salt industry and rubber industry in the state. — Thet Naing (Mawlamyine)/KZL
