MoL to condense duration of regional orientation course

The Ministry of Labour plans to reduce the duration of a course on regional knowledge of a certain country being provided to locals who are about to work abroad, according to the ministry.
The two-day training is provided to the workers at Skill Training School in North Dagon township, Yangon Region. Under the new scheme to be started in September this year, the training will last only two hours, an official from the training school said.
“The training is to share the knowledge of the country where they are going to work. The rules and regulations of the country including do’s and don’ts while living and working there are shared in the two-day training.
The newly arranged training programme will take two hours instead of two days. The workers will have more time to prepare other necessary things,” he said. — ASH/TH
