MoIP Union Minister discusses e-ID system techniques with Indian experts

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing meets Indian technicians on the technical application for the e-ID system from India in Nay Pyi Taw on 16 July 2024.

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing addressed the meeting on studying, assessing and giving advice by the Indian technicians on the technical application for the e-ID system being implemented by the Ministry. The meeting held at the meeting hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 16 July.
In his speech, the Union Minister said the Indian Aadhaar system is a successful technology and the e-ID system was developed through the study of that Aadhaar system. The e-ID system is the very fundamental operation for the e-Government of the country. Currently, the Biographic/Biometric data of individual citizens is being collected and a 10-digit Unique ID is being issued.
He also urged the Indian experts to give advice frankly for the solution to the difficulties.
He then presented gifts to the experts led by Development Partnership Administration Mr Anish Kumar from the National Institute of Smart Government (NISC) and Modular Open-Source Identity Platform (MOSIP).
The technical team implementing the current e-ID system and the technical expert team from India held a discussion yesterday and the Indian expert team gave advice and provided the necessary assistance. — MNA/KTZH
