MoI Union Minister receives delegation of All-China Youth Federation

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn holds talks with Mr Zhou Xiaoping from the All-China Youth Federation in Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn received a delegation led by Mr Zhou Xiaoping from the All-China Youth Federation at the Navata Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed media cooperation between Myanmar and China, controlling the spread of fake news and publishing true news in real time, cooperation in the new media sector in addition to broadcast and print media, establishing friendship between peoples of two countries in addition to close relations between the two governments, strengthening relations in business, social, investment and other sectors.
After the meeting, the Union Minister served Mr Zhou Xiaoping and party with a lunch before exchanging commemorative gifts.
In the evening, the Chinese delegation visited MRTV in Nay Pyi Taw’s Tatkon Township and observed broadcasting processes, equipment used in broadcasting throughout the ages displayed in the Diamond Jubilee Museum of Myanma Radio and Television, live broadcasting vehicles, miniature replicas of news presentation activities, documentary photos of those who participated in the programmes that have been broadcasted throughout the ages, musical instruments, news studios including vintage records and other equipment used in the radio programme in 40 booths.
After that, the delegation visited the Tazaungdine lighting festival held in the MRTV park that hosted offering 1,000 oil lamps at the Maha Bawdi Gyoshitkhwin Pagoda, charity fair, amusement games by staff of TV channels, selling traditional foods, launch of hot-air balloons and fire-works, refreshment offering event and the entertainment by MRTV band. — MNA/TH
