MoI Union Minister inspects IPRD offices in Ayeyawady Region

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn meets staff of Danubyu Township Information and Public Relation Department (IPRD) office in Danubyu Township in Ayeyawady Region yesterday.

Union Minister for Information inspected the Information and Public Relation Department (IPRD) offices in Danubyu, Zalun townships and Hinthada District of Ayeyawady Region yesterday and instructed responsible personnel to accelerate the functions for information and educating programmes.
On arrival at the IPRD offices in Danubyu, Zalun townships and Hinthada District of Ayeyawady Region, he met with the staff and provided assistance to them.
Speaking at the event, the Union minister said the media plays a key role in providing the people with information ensuring their rights and true news today. The staff in such operations are also important and should make efforts to uphold the ministry’s three objectives: to inform, to educate and to entertain.
The digital system is also developed at the Public Libraries. It should provide the appropriate books or journals for the youths at the libraries. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, IPRD should organize talk shows to improve their lives.
Today, some young people misunderstand and commit destructive acts against the community and so it is necessary to direct them to the right way using various media ways.
