MoI Union Minister attends ICEEA 2024

The International Conference on Engineering Education Accreditation 2024 (ICEEA 2024) was held yesterday afternoon via videoconferencing, focusing on continuous improvement in engineering education and technology. Union Minister Dr Charlie Than attended from the Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw.
Participants included patrons of the Myanmar Engineering Council, chairpersons and executive members from the Myanmar Engineering Council, International Engineering Alliance (IEA), World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific (FEIAP), Engineers Australia (EA), Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET), China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), and other international and local engineering professionals.
Union Minister Dr Charlie Than highlighted that ICEEA 2024, organized by the Myanmar Engineering Council’s Quality Verification and Accreditation Committee and the World Engineering Federation’s Engineering Education Committee, is themed “Engineering Education for Better Engineering Solutions to a Sustainable World”. He emphasized the value of shared experiences with international and local experts in engineering education and accreditation.
Prominent individuals and academics discussed various topics, with contributions from WFEO, IEA, IEET, EA, BEM, TH Georg Agricola University, South Asian University, GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, and the University of Technology (Yangon). The conference includes question and answer sessions and will continue for two days. — MNA/TS
