Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn enjoyed the entertainment of a variety show to mark the 103rd National Victory Day in Hpa-an Township of Kayin State on 7 December.
The show featured songs and dances presented by basic education students, traditional dances of ethnic cultural troupes, and entertainment of famous singers of Unplugged band.
The Union minister then presented a K2 million cash award to the artistes who participated in the variety show.
The Union minister also inspected the healthcare systems provided to Sayadaws and nuns at the three-storey building of Kayin State General Hospital (Hpa-an) yesterday.
First, the Union minister paid homage to State Ovadacariya Presiding Sayadaw of Naunglon Htanpataing and Presiding Sayadaw of Amita Yama Monastery and donated cash.
Then, he inspected the healthcare services of physicians, specialists and health workers of the hospital and advised proper healthcare system-related matters. — Saw Myo Min Thein (IPRD)/KTZH
