The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism held a video conference yesterday with the Luxembourg development agency which is providing technical assistance to Myanmar.
The meeting discussed the LuxDev Code MYA/001 for the development of human resources in the hotels and tourism sector of Myanmar.
Union Minister U Ohn Maung made discussions about conducting online training course on tourism sector amid the outbreak of COVID-19, supports of the project on establishments of language labs at the offices of ministry in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay, online courses of ecotourism from foreign countries, quick restoration of tourism sector in post COVID-19, and an online training courses on the topics of crisis management and resilience after conducting Myanmar MSME Tourism Survey.
Deputy Minister U Tin Latt presented the progress of COVID-19 Myanmar Tourism Survey, norms for joining online ecotourism course, technical and fundamental needs for language labs, the Myanmar Tourism COVID-19 Relief Strategy Roadmap and the Myanmar Tourism Master Plan.
