MoFA Union Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin receives Mr JM Janaka Priyantha Bandara, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Myanmar, yesterday.

U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Mr J M Janaka Priyantha Bandara at 1:30 pm on 7 June 2022 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
During the call, the Union Minister congratulated the Ambassador for his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. They cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further enhancement of the friendly bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, as well as closer collaboration in regional and multilateral contexts including the BIMSTEC and the United Nations.—MNA
