The Ministry of Education announced that students who passed the Grade 9 examination under the old academic system and those who failed the matriculation examination under both the old and new systems will be permitted to sit the 2025 matriculation examination externally.
It is also stated that students taking the 2025 matriculation examination from outside, apart from regular schools, can choose any of the new system’s subject combinations.
According to the Ministry of Education, the pass rate for the 2024 matriculation examination was 57.9 per cent. — TWA/MKKS
