MoC, UMFCCI collaborate to boost export of agricultural produce

The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) and the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) are working together to enhance the country’s exports for economic development. On 29 April, a total of 9,200 tonnes of maize were exported from the Yangon International Gateway Terminal (YIGT), and 2,700 tonnes of maize were exported from Min Htet Min Port.
Additionally, various other products, including aquatic products, rice, and pulses, were transported from the Asia World Port Terminal (AWPT 3). Furthermore, three vessels departed from AWPT 3 and Myanmar International Terminal Thilawa, carrying a range of commodities such as aquatic products, rice, pulses, garments, forestry products, sugar, sesame, empty container, corn, and rubber.
On 30 April, a total of 12,700 tonnes of maize from Ahlon International Port Terminal 3, 5,400 tonnes of maize from Min Htet Min Port, 44,400 tonnes of maize, and 7,500 tonnes of rice from Sule Port will be transported. Additionally, on 1 May, 6,050 tonnes of maize will be transported from The Myanmar Terminal – TMT 3, followed by 27,500 tonnes of maize from TMT 2 (Bo Aung Kyaw jetty) and 9,400 tonnes of maize from YIGT on 3 May. Moreover, on 5 May, a total of 27,500 tonnes of maize from Sule Port and 27,500 tonnes of maize from AIPT 1 will be transported. — MNA/TMT
