MoBA Union Minister receives Ambassador of India to Myanmar

Union Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung receives Indian Ambassador Mr Vinay Kumar yesterday.

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung received Indian Ambassador Mr Vinay Kumar at 1 pm yesterday in the Ministry of Border Affairs.
During the meeting, both sides frankly discussed and exchanged views on stability, peace and development of border areas of the two countries, the implementation and successful results of development projects in Chin State and Naga Self-Administered Zone with assistance funds by India under the MoU signed by the two countries, the negotiating status to sign a new MoU for the border region development project, and further cooperation programmes.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Maj-Gen Phyo Thant, the director-general, the deputy permanent secretary and officials from the Ministry of Border Affairs. — MNA/TS
