MoBA Union Minister inspects development programmes in southern Shan State

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, accompanied by Shan State Administration Council member Colonel Hla Oo visited the Shan State Development Supervisory Office in Taunggyi Township on 11 June. The officials provided uniforms for staff, school uniforms and stationeries for the students. They then inspected the staff housing and small-scale farming industry.
On 12 June, the Union Minister attended the ceremony to provide school uniforms and books for the students attending at basic education schools of Hopong Township held in Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Administration Body’s Office.
Then, the Union Minister and Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Administration Body Chairman U Khun Ye Htwe inspected the road constructions in Popong and Taunggyi townships and concrete bridges building on Pone Pyone-Namkut-Monhta-Hotagaung (Hotat) road.
On 13 June, the Union Minister checked the road paving procedures in Hsiseng Township. Then, he joined the ceremony to open 1 mile and 4 furlongs long tar road on Lwe Put-Lite Bay –Ban Naung Kar road section in Hsiseng Township.
The Union Minister also provided the school uniforms and books for students from B.E.M.S Branch (Pin Lon Kha).
During the inspection tour, the Union Minister and party visited the border youths development training centre and women’s vocational training schools in Seikkhaung and met the staff and trainees. The officials provided the teaching materials and inspected the training school compounds. — MNA
