MMMC to offer diploma courses for 2025-2026 academic year

Myanmar Mercantile Marine College (MMMC) will begin offering diploma courses for cadets in January 2025 for the 2025-2026 academic year.
These two-year courses include the Mercantile Marine Cadet Course (CD/52), Mercantile Marine Engineering Cadet Course (CE/50), and Mercantile Marine Electrical Cadet Course (CME/05). Upon successful completion, cadets will be awarded diplomas in nautical studies, maritime technology, or marine electrical engineering.
Applicants must have passed the Grade-12 examination and must not be older than 21 years of age as of 31 December 2024. Those applying for the Mercantile Marine Cadet Course and Marine Engineering Cadet Course must have passed with subject combinations including chemistry and physics, and must have achieved a total score of at least 400 marks. Applicants for the Mercantile Marine Electrical Cadet Course must have passed with subject combinations including chemistry and physics, and must have a minimum total score of 390 marks.
Applications can be submitted in person until 31 August. The college will admit 130 trainees for the Mercantile Marine Cadet Course, 130 for the Marine Engineering Cadet Course, and 40 for the Mercantile Marine Electrical Cadet Course.
Applicants will be selected through personal interviews, and more detailed information can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar and the Training Department during office hours. — TWA/TKO
