MLF donates science books to Yangon Region libraries

The regional chief minister is seen receiving books donated by U Nyunt Swe, Chairman of the Myanmar Libraries Foundation.

The Myanmar Libraries Foundation donated public science treatises to libraries across Yangon Region at the Community Centre in Bahan Township on 25 June.
U Nyunt Swe, Chairman of the Myanmar Libraries Foundation, outlined the purpose behind the book donations. The Yangon Region chief minister accepted 625 public science treatises allocated for 125 libraries in the region.
In accordance with library laws and regulations in Yangon Region, the regional government has contributed 68,555 books valued at K186 million to these libraries.
During his address, the foundation chairman highlighted that four library science courses had been conducted, resulting in the training of 200 individuals as librarians. — TWA/TKO
