A screen-shot of misinformation from Than Lwin Times.

False news is intentionally fabricated on social media, suggesting that nearly 400 local people from Thaton Township, Mon State, had to flee due to the explosion of heavy weapons fired by the Tatmadaw, despite no battle occurring.
According to a security official, Tatmadaw security outposts did not shell heavy weapons. However, terrorists did fire at Tatmadaw security columns conducting security operations for regional stability with heavy weapons and dropped bombs. Those drone bombs, drop bombs, and heavy weapons landed in residential villages and exploded.
Therefore, villagers had to escape to safe places, according to responsible security officials from the respective area and other sources.
Malicious news outlets are circulating misinformation to cover the actions committed by the PDF terrorists and so-called ethnic insurgents. — MNA/ TMT
