The Ministry of Labour has declared that licensed overseas employment agencies must submit the necessary documents and the list of workers sent abroad only by email, rather than in hard copy, starting on 1 January.
The Department of Labour has already announced that action will be taken against agencies that fail to submit the monthly list of workers sent abroad, with the potential consequence of revoking their licences.
In November 2023, six out of the thirty overseas employment agencies that failed to submit the mentioned lists were warned three times. If this recurrence takes place, they will be required to sign a commitment letter. Should a repeated violation occur after signing the commitment letter, the licence will be suspended for a limited period. — TWA/ TRKM
