Military tribunal sentences arsonists of TMR garment factory 7 years in prison

A total of six men was sentenced to seven-year imprisonment with labour for committing an arson attack to the TMR Garment Factory in Shwe Lin Pan Industrial Zone in Hlinethaya (West) Township, Yangon Region.
They were sentenced under Section 436 of the Penal Code by the Military Tribunal on 4 June for committing vandalism by throwing petrol bottles at a fire on 15 March.
As five of them have escaped, an arrest warrant was issued under Section 87/88 of the Criminal Procedure Code. — MNA
