Military personnel pay homage to Sayadaws in Mawlamyine, Taunggyi

The military regional commands donated rice, cooking oil and offertories to the monasteries and nunneries to be convenient during COVID-19 pandemic.
Lt-Gen Aung Soe of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of South-East Command Brig-Gen Ko Ko Maung and officials paid homage to the Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita Vinaya Pali Paragu Bhaddanta Vimala Buddhi of Mya Sedi Monastery in Mawlamyine of Mon State yesterday.
The military personnel took five percepts from the Sayadaw and donated rice, oil and offertories.
Similarly, Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo of Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), Commander of Eastern Command Brig-Gen Ni Lin Aung and officials paid homage to Sayadaw Sasana Daja Dhamma Cariya Bhaddanta Veinnita of Dhamma Thukha monastery in Sao San Tun Ward of Taunggyi in Shan State (southern) yesterday.
They took five percepts from the Sayadaw and donated rice, oil and offertories.
Then, Lt-Gen Than Tun Oo and members also paid homage to Sayadaw Dhamma Cariya Baddhandata Candar Thiri of Mingalagu Vipassana monastery and donated the offertories, according to the statement of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services. — MNA (Translated by KTZH)
