MIFER opens training of news writing and photography

Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations held the opening ceremony of news writing and photographic training, intending to improve the news writing and photographic skills systematically and efficiently to the ministry’s staff, at Office No 1, Nay Pyi Taw on 18 September 2023. MIFER Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw attended and delivered the opening speech.
The Union minister emphasized the implementation of the nation’s economic policy to develop investment promotion and foreign economic relations, the Five-Point Roadmap of the State Administration Council, the first-time training to improve the news writing capacity of MIFER’s staff, and the need for the staff to follow the rules of official letter writing and to be aware of the news writing skills.
He also pointed out that today’s globalization is high-speed developing not only the fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) but also Artificial Intelligence (AI). These speedy changes led to the improvement of the World Wide Web (www) and it can be seen that a large number of local and international news are spreading around the world in every minute and second. Therefore, it is important to write righteous, fast and effective news.
The Union minister said that this is a week’s training and called on the staff to try hard during the training to apply effectively and efficiently as well as to serve this knowledge and skills to fulfil the ministry’s objectives for the country’s economic development and national interest. Moreover, he appreciated and said thanks to the trainers and representatives from the Ministry of Information for supporting to hold this training. He underlined that trainees are required to study carefully to apply in practical fields and to share this knowledge from the training with colleagues.
The ceremony was also attended by the deputy minister, director-general, deputy permanent secretary, and deputy director-general, including nearly 100 staff from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations and trainers from the Ministry of Information.
