Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA) will open a free motor sewing machine training in January 2024 to create job opportunities by linking between garment factories and job seekers.

It will be held at Myanmar Garment Human Resource Development Centre (MGHRDC ) from 1 to 19 January.

To create jobs, it will help to link between garment factories and job seekers from remote areas as well as those who are interested in it.

“It is a free training. After the training, if member factories recruit, we connect them with nearby factories,” an association member said.

The course covers general knowledge of sewing, practical steps of sewing and information on labour laws.
