Media spreads fake news

G1

Unscrupulous media outlets intentionally spread fake news, claiming that security forces torched Htivar village and Kayanlay village in Hsihseng Township, Shan State (South), burning down 16 houses on 27 June.
According to a security official, security forces did not conduct arson in Htivar and Kayanlay villages, and the news was unfounded.
The attacks of PNLA terrorists burnt down the villages in Hsihseng Township, and villagers had to flee from these areas. Tatmadaw members and militia conducted security measures by cooperating with locals so that they could peacefully reside in their original places. — MNA/KTZH
