ME Singapore announces special passport renewal for first 300 this Sunday

A special programme to extend the passports of the first 300 nationals out of 900 people who have registered to renew their passports will be launched coming Sunday, according to the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore.
The names and appointment times for these 300 people on 23 June were announced on the embassy’s website, and they were requested to come to the embassy according to the schedule.
The embassy website will announce the renewal programme for the remaining 600 nationals on 26 June.
The embassy regularly provides passport extension services to about 120 nationals via online appointments and about 75 via WhatsApp appointments on a daily basis, it said.
Due to the difficulty of making an appointment on the embassy’s website and the availability of days off from work, the embassy found that many Myanmar nationals were waiting for passport extensions. Therefore, the embassy stated on 30 May, passport renewal services will be provided under a special arrangement to about 200 nationals with passport expiry dates up to 31 August 2025, and the renewed passports will be issued between 1 pm and 3 pm from 25 to 27 June. — MT/ZN
