Mawlamyine-Yangon train fares changed from 1 January

Mawlamyine-Yangon train fares will be changed from 1 January, according to the Mawlamyine railway station.

Due to the rise in diesel price, train fares will have to be hiked, it stated.

A ticket for upper class air-bag train will be raised to K 11000 for Mawlamyine-Yangon, to K 8000 for Mawlamyine-Bago and K 7000 for Mawlamyine-Waw.

Similarly, ticket fares for an ordinary class air-bag train will be K 6000 for Mawlamyine-Yangon,  K  4000 for Mawlamyine-Bago, K 4000 for Mawlamyine-Waw, and K 3000 for Mawlamyine-Theinzayat.

Ticket fares for ordinary class regular AAR train are K 5000 for Mawlamyine-Yangon,  K  4000 for Mawlamyine-Bago, K 4000 for Mawlamyine-Waw, K 3000 for Mawlamyine-Theinzayat, and K 3000 for Mawlamyine-Moatpalin.

Airbag trains will operate on even-numbered days while regularAAR trains will run on odd-numbered days, according to Myanmar Railways.
