Martyr’s Day special exhibition to be held at Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon)

On the upcoming 77th Martyrs’ Day, a special exhibition will take place at the Bogyoke Aung San Museum in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, as announced by the Department of Archaeology and National Museum.
The exhibition at Bogyoke Aung San Museum will feature various displays, including boards along the museum’s path as in previous years, a 3D virtual tour of Bogyoke Aung San’s house and surroundings using IT technology, architectural designs, photographs of items from the bureaus in the house via a mobile application, and Bogyoke Aung San’s speeches presented through a 3D holographic fan. Photo records of annual special events will be accessible via touch screens.
Preparations for Martyrs’ Day include clearing undergrowth and weeds, landscaping, gardening, and arranging healthcare services for visitors to the museum, managed by the Yangon City and Development Committee (YCDC).
The Bogyoke Aung San Museum, built on an oval-shaped 2.423-acre plot in a 20th-century European style in 1921, was home to Bogyoke Aung San and his family from May 1945 until 19 July 1947. — ASH/MKKS
